NDIS - Code of Conduct
The NDIS code of conduct are a set of guidelines that help providers provide NDIS Participants with safe and ethical supports.
They are designed to help providers understand and respect the rights of persons with disabilities so that we act in a way that is meets the standards of the NDIS.
Under the code of conduct providers are expected to:
- Respect the individual rights, freedom of expression, self-determination and decision making of NDIS participants in accordance with relevant conventions (UNCRPD) and legislation.
- Respect the right to privacy of persons with disabilities.
- Provide supports in a safe and competent manner with care and skill.
- Act with integrity, honesty and transparency.
- Promptly take steps to raise and act on concerns about matters that might impact the quality or safety of supports being provided.
- Take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to all forms of violence, exploitation or neglect of persons with disabilities.
- Take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to sexual misconduct.
- To make sure that all prices provided are adhering to the NDIS Price Guidelines.
All providers, including those who are unregistered are required to follow the NDIS Code of Conduct.
As a participant if you feel a provider is not operating in line with the Code of Conduct you can report any misgivings to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards commission.
For concerns raised directly to Kind Fox we also have an obligation to raise those concerns with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards commission.
